"15 for Darfur" is an art exhibit touring the United States to create a national conscience about the race killings in Darfur. Currently over 400,000 have been killed in Darfur, Sudan, and 2 1/2 Million driven from their home. Each work displayed has a plaque with a idiom that forces us to make a correlation between the image and the saying, revealing a fragment of character within ourselves. Darfur is a genocide we can stop while it's still happening. Although each canvas remains available to aid in relief efforts, they are presented to create a change within our heart." “We will never let it happen

again ” we've said, yet race killing is

happening before our very eyes. over 400,000

dead in Darfur 2 and 1/2 million forced out of their homes,

to be beaten, raped, and mutilated. it happened in Germany

to over 11 million, Cambodia 2 million, 800,000 in

Rwanda, Herzegovina 200,000, now it is Darfur

and we have remained silent.......

"Creating art helps me wrap my mind around difficult issues. I have always

liked to solve problems but I have no solution for the “Big” problems in life

such as Genocide, Prejudice, War, Starvation and Poverty, so I create my own problems...full story here

7'X 14' Bronze Sculpture joins "15 for Darfur" Columbia, North Carolina,- 2 galleries, “15 for Darfur” is a collection of 15 works, created to combat “artist block” that have inadvertently become a portal to the human soul. Each canvas challenges us to consider our life and how we process the world around us. After viewing the work, one walks away with a renewed sense of purpose and hope.
